Inspiration

Fashion Blogging has been such an adventure so far. I have been spending the past couple days brainstorming blog posts ideas. I had some ideas scribbled down on paper, but this idea in particular stood out the most to me. Sitting at my desk, I was just thinking about who inspires my personal style. Although Kylie Jenner is a serious fashionista, Fashion Bloggers inspire me more than anyone else. So what better post to write than a post about a fellow blogger. As soon as I get out of class, I look forward to a cup of coffee and reading the latest blog posts. So as my usual routine goes, yesterday, I got home from class, grabbed some coffee, and sat at my desk. As I was browsing facebook on this day, a certain post grabbed my attention. One of my old high school friends made a facebook post about her own fashion blog. Of course, I decided to give it a read. Instantly, I fell in love with it. She is literally the whole package. Her website brings such a unique twist to fashion blogs. Her blog encompasses her love for style, writing, modeling, and photography. I adored it and knew I needed to feature her on my blog. So here it is. I asked her some questions so you all could get an idea of herself and her blog.

i. If you could describe your blog in 3 words, what would they be?
"honest, minimal, and fun (I hope)"

ii. What or who inspired you to start your blog?
"I have always been inspired by bloggers in general.I originally had another blog that was strictly fashion shots and me explaining my reasoning behind outfits. While I love reading those blogs, it wasn’t necessarily the right thing for me. The Bright Eyed Blonde was started as a way for me to showcase my fashion sense while also being able to write out my feelings at the moment the pictures were being taken."

iii. In the future, where do you hope your blog will take you?
"Originally, I had this grandeur idea of becoming a famous blogger but then I realized I didn’t want to commit solely to that. The main thing I hope to get out of my blog is to grow my writing skills and my confidence in my fashion taste. To me, that is worth way more than becoming famous (although, being famous and getting paid would be cool too)"

iv. Have you met anyone interesting due to blogging?
"Yes, I definitely have! I have linked up with a couple photographers and brands in the area and it has been really cool to expand my creative circle. i have also gained a lot of instagram friends, I just reach out to people and follow them and hope they like me enough to follow back!"

v. How much time do you spend blogging and how do you balance blogging with school and/or work?
"Honestly, I don’t spend near as much time blogging as I would like. I always say I will start writing more but then school and work manage to take up all my time. Finding a balance is something I am still trying to figure out."

vi. Who is your favorite style icon or fashion designer?
"One of my all time favorite bloggers is Jeanne Grey from The Grey Layers. Not only do I love her style, but I love all that her blog possesses. She is genuine and doesn’t seem to care about what the world thinks about her, both are really admirable qualities. I grab a lot of style inspiration from various people I follow on Instagram and from my fellow Style Gurus over at CollegeFashionista."

vii. How would you describe your style?
"I would say my style is very minimalistic and relaxed. I don’t really own much color and I keep it pretty simple everyday."

viii. If you had to wear the same outfit everyday, what would it be?
"Ripped Jeans, a chambray shirt/white button-up, and booties."
ix. Who takes the photos for your blog?
"I’ve had a variety of people take pictures for me but my resident photographers on both my blog and Instagram are Bailey Chupein and Lexie Haugen."

x. Who is your celeb crush?
"Recently I have been obsessing over Cole Sprouse."

xi. What is your dream job?
"To live in a big city and be working in fashion public relations."

xii. If you could live the life of any celebrity or fashion blogger for one day, who would you choose? Aimee Song

xiii. Do you prefer to have pictures taken of you or to take pictures of others?
"I like a mix of both! I get pictures taken of me for my blog, and then I get to take pictures of people for CollegeFashionista."

xiv. Which one of your blog posts would you recommend to your viewers the most?
"My post on New Beginnings. It really talks about what my blog is all about. Hopefully, if readers get the motivation behind my blog, they will be able to connect to my posts more."

xv. If someone was interested in blogging, what would you suggest to them when starting a blog?
"To just go for it. Coming up with a name is the hardest part, so really think about what you want your blog to encompass and then do it. It’s too easy to come up with an idea and then never execute it so if you want to blog, just start and the rest will fall into place."

xvi. What are some of your favorite fall trends?
"I have a love affair with booties and I wear them year-round. So I love fall because it makes it a little more socially acceptable to wear them as much as I do and when it gets cold I can wear them with cute socks!"

Room decor

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is having an awesome week! Personally, my week has been filled with loads of homework and preparation for tests and mid terms. In the midst of the craziness, I found the time to clean up my room a bit. Since I have been working on my room and the decor for a while now, I think it is finally presentable. It is nothing too special but I am super excited to share it with you guys. I have been collecting tons of cacti for a little while now. I have been doing my best to water them and make sure they get tons of sunlight. Honestly, I was almost sure these things were not going to stay alive for longer than a month. Surprisingly, I am happy to say that they are still alive and well (well most of them). All the rest of my plants are fake but hey, they look cute. By the way I picked up all my plants and pots from either zgallerie or ikea! Have a wonderful week!

Fall Look For Less

Fall chill 🍁

Today I decided to stay in and relax. Of course I always end up on the Internet obsessing over cute clothes. One of my favorite things to do is challenge myself to save money. Of course I wish I could have more expensive clothes but I do not have money to be spending like that. So I decided to put together this super cute fall outfit. I chose this adorable Torn by Ronny Kobo taupe colored turtle neck dress and paired it with a coat and some thigh highs. Thigh high stiletto boots are so hot this season and I can't get enough of them. They have a hot price tag to go with them. So my mission this season has been to find the perfect thigh boots with a price tag we can all afford. I found some adorable alternatives to this expensive look. You guys can just click the links to get the look for yourself.

Fall Mall Trip

Today was an amazing fall day. I had no class and my coworker picked up my shift at work. So I decided to get dolled up and head to the mall. I chose this t-shirt dress and paired it with some heeled booties. I just added a couple accessories to spice it up. It was pretty simple, but definitely super cute for a trip to the mall.
